| Eric Corijn | is Professor of Social and Cultural Geography at the Free University of Brussels and Director of the COSMOPOLIS City, Culture & Society research group. In his article ‘Brussels as an International City’, he claims that 'a true ‘Capital city’ should be more than the mere location of the power echelons and administrative offices. “It should (…) be a place where the global vision is created, produced and represented”. In order to be successful, internationalisation at the top needs to be linked to internationalisation at the bottom.
The Hague is ‘the International City of Peace and Justice’. This title however, comes with ramifications like: “The Hague has killed Milošević”. In his lecture on International Organisations Eric Corijn focussed on Capital cities and ‘Downstairs Globalisation’. Subjects that were addressed are:
- The new position of cities vs countries, due to globalisation and internationalisation
- The function of capital cities and city imaging
- Brussels as an example
- Directions for The Hague, how can its international character contribute to its further development?

| the International Perspectives | is a programme, consisting of 7 public lectures organised by Deltametropolis Association in cooperation with the universities of Randstad Holland (RSH). Each tIP illustrates, from a different perspective, how facilities or activities are important for RSH and consequently contribute to its international image.

Atlas ABC belicht de rol van Randstad Holland als onderdeel van ABC, het verstedelijkte gebied Amsterdam-Brussels-Cologne en biedt zo een raamwerk voor debat.
Voetsporen Rond het Station gaat over het aantrekkelijk maken van stationsgebieden voor de voetganger en verdichting van het stedelijk weefsel rond het station.
Siebe Riedstra, secretaris-generaal IenM, ging in zijn tafelrede, tijdens het Algemeen Bestuur, in op de integratie van de beleidsvelden Ruimte en Infrastructuur bij IenM.
Vereniging Deltametropool organiseert een Randstad Oploop over de Randstadpassages in het Regeerakkoord. Met Jan Franssen en Maarten van Poelgeest.
Defining the Metropolis is een historische beschouwing en internationale vergelijking van de ontwikkelpatronen van de metropool.
SprintStad ontmoet Parelrivier. Deltametropool verkende de metro van Shenzhen en Hong Kong, en sprak er met verschillende professionals. Een reisverslag.
SprintStad is gepresenteerd op de internationale conferentie 'Next Generation Infrastructure Systems For Eco-Cities', te Shenzhen van 11 tot 13 november 2010.
BiC: op weg naar een driedubbele benuttingstrategie: intensivering
gebruik OV netwerk, integrale ontwikkeling mobiliteitsknopen en intensivering van de stad.
InteractieMilieus onderzoekt de uitwerking van specifieke interactiemilieus als opgave in de Randstad of als kans voor nieuwe ontwikkeling.
Project SprintStad onderzoekt de integrale ontwikkeling van stationsgebieden en spoormobiliteit in de Randstad en biedt een podium voor discussie.
Serious game SprintStad, onderdeel van project SprintStad, is een natuurgetrouw simulatiespel over de gelijktijdige ontwikkeling van stationsgebieden en OV-mobiliteit.
Als onderdeel van project SprintStad is een ruimtelijke inventarisatie van stationsgebieden in de Randstad uitgevoerd, tussen mei en juli 2010.
Werkplaats SprintStad brengt verschillende kennispartners samen. De opgedane kennis is basis voor de onderbouwing van project SprintStad.
Serious game Sprintstad was dinsdag 14 september 2010 onderdeel van de Projectenparade Spoorzoneontwikkeling van het kennisplein Mooi Nederland (VROM).
Platform SprintStad draagt project SprintStad uit, maakt de onderzoeksresultaten kenbaar en agendeert het onderwerp via debatten en lezingen.

Het Programma van de Metropool is een onderzoek naar de vorm en randvoorwaarden voor nieuwe stedelijke brandpunten in de Randstad.
Wat heeft de Randstad te bieden? Dat is het onderwerp van de Randstad Oploop 'Dat is de Kracht van de Randstad'.

'Holland: Hotspot of Hutspot?' een werkconferentie over het nut en de noodzaak van een lange termijnvisie.
SprintCity's main goal is to identify opportunities for development around existing rail infrastructure, in tandem with improvement of the rail transport service.
